Health, safety and Personnel

Thornaby Childrens Nursery follows rigorous Health and Safety Procedures to ensure children’s security at all times.
Health and Safety is a theme that underlies all our training. Staff are trained in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding Children to comply with Ofsted requirements.

Our committed team do both “in house” and “external” professional development training, including 5 staff who are training to become Early Years Professionals.

Our policies and procedures are comprehensive and are available for parents to read at any time.

It is the policy of the Nursery to ensure that the children in our care are not knowingly exposed to hazards.  In this respect staff must abide by and comply with the Staff Handbook of Nursery Policies & Procedures and the induction training.  They should be aware that they set an example to young children and students, and should act responsibly at all times.
